This paper studies the coordination issues of a two-echelon supply chain with a single manufacturer and a single retailer in a dynamic market.A two-period newsboy model is employed to depict the retailer's behavior in two-time ordering.Under the assumption that the unfilled demand during the first period is partial backlogging, the centralized and decentralized decision models are developed, respectively, and the existence and uniqueness of the optimal solutions to the two models are proved. Moreover,a two-period revenue-sharing contract, which is simple and easy to implement,is proposed to achieve the supply chain coordination and win-win outcome. The research shows that compared with the case of no backlogging, the partial backlogging results in decrease of the order quantity in first period but the increase of the order quantity in the second period, whereas overall the total order quantity increases.
