As a laying foundation work written by Chen Zhongshi in the 90＇s,the novel ＂Bailu Plain＂ is seen as a reflection on the fate of national culture. This paper focuses on Tian Xiao＇e and holds the opinion that the tragic destiny of these women as well as of the whole nation should be attributed to the traditional conservative characteristics,and tries to distinguish the gender politics by analyzing the conservative characteristics of this woman.
