The growth of organic crystals on monolayer or self-assemble monolayer was discussed from the point of hydrongen bond and lattice geometrical match. These organic crystals included amino acids such as glycine, alanine, aspartic acid etal, and proteins such as α-lactalbumin, hemoglobin, C-reactive protein and streptavidin etal. The effect of the monolayer material and surface pressure of monolayer on the growth of organic crystals were also discussed. At last, the problem faced and the developing direction were also indicated.
