This paper analyzes 2016 operation performances of the four most influential large-scale oil trading companies in the world such as Glencore, Vitol, Trafigura and Gunvor. Through comparing oil trading fields of each company including business scope, asset allocation and trade ability, the paper sums up the characteristics and patterns of four companies, and puts forward suggestions for domestic oil trading companies based on intemational oil trade business development.
