This paper discussed the requirements of image process technology in digital cinema industry, and analyzed several key technology points of improving image processing performance. First realized the JPEG2000 compression tool which met DCI （ digital cinema initiatives） standard. And then improved coding efficiency significantly by some approaches including optmiz- ing cache hit rate in DWT and using MPI parallelism programming, and technologies such as parrallel file system and compi- ling optimization. Through these overall research and implementation, the image processing efficiency is improved a lot.
