For the determination of iodine in edible salt, according to the trace iodine in water presents the feature of pale yellow. Spectrophotometric method discussed the relationship between concentration and absorbance. The result indicate that iodine concentration and absorbance has a good linear relationship. The iodine content in the samples of edible salt is 23.75 mg/kg, which is within the provisions of country and RSD = 1%. What＇ s more,with the ＂F＂ test method shows that the result of the experiment, there is no significant difference. Therefore, the method can be used for determination of trace iodine.
