A new species of the genus Alternaria, A. loliicola, on Lolium sp. （Gramineae） is reported. Latin diagnosis, English description and illustration of the new species are presented. Type specimen of the new species is deposited in the Herbarium of Henan Agricultural University： Fungi （HHAUF）.
