Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) has been identified as the third gasotransmitter just as nitric oxide (NO) and carbon monoxide (CO). It has been proved to participate in various physiological and biochemical processes to exert specific functions. H2S plays an important role in regulating the nervous system and the cardiovascular system in animals. In plants, H2S improves the ability of adapting to the environment, alleviates injury and toxicity caused by the stress conditions. In addition, it also participates in specific physiological and metabolic processes such as stomatal movement and delaying senescence. In this article, the latest research advances of hydrogen sulfide in plants were summarized, including its biosynthesis,metabolic pathways, physiological functions and signal transduction mechanisms. We also discussed the interaction between H2S and other proteins was also mentioned. gasotransmitters. The mechanism of H2S modifying
