Art is the common language of human beings. With the unique way of expression, the Silk Road art expresses the consciousness of the community of common destiny for all mankind and people-to-people communication, and hence has irreplaceable effects and values. The Silk Road art is not the addition or combination of all types of art in a simple way, or the static study and summary of the art phenomena and features of the countries along the Road, but, more importantly, it is a new art form and achievement, which was created by human beings on the Road through communication, merging and mutual influence. It can be viewed as an important phenomenon unparalleled in human art history. The in-depth exploration of the art will make it possible to form a new inter-discipline： the Silk Road Art Studies.
