为解决当前主流地理信息系统(GIS)系统存在的问题,基于微软新一代操作系统Longhorn,提出了新一代地理信息系统技术框架——基于智能客户端的面向服务的地理信息平台框架.设计并实现了一个基于该框架的原型系统。该系统的核心功能包括自治的6组服务——地图可视化服务、地图查询服务、特征管理服务、数据处理分析服务、元数据服务、数据互操作服务,采用Longhorn的消息引擎(Indigo)作为服务间通讯机制,并使用Longhorn的表现引擎(Avalon)作为智能客户端实现技术.该原型系统具有高性能、低系统耦合性、便捷的异构系统互操作性、强大的客户端表现能力和用户体验等优点.
Based on the Longhorn operating system, a new geographic information system (GIS) architecture-service-oriented GIS software architecture on smart client was put forward to solve the problems in the popular GIS system. Besides, a new prototype system was established. The key function of the system consists of six kinds of autonomic services, which are map visualization, map query, feature management, data management and analysis, metadata and data interoperability. This system adopts Indigo engine of Longhorn as communication mechanism among services, and uses Avalon engine of Longhorn as smart client realization technology. This system has the advantages of high performance, low system coupling, convenient communication among different structure systems, strong client representation and good users experience.
