Woodpile结构存在完全带隙,本文采用时域有限差分方法研究了由电介质材料和金属形成的微波波段的woodpile结构。模拟结果表明:前者完全带隙的范围为9GHz~13GHz;当用金属材料代替电介质材料时,完全带隙范围为19GHz~21.5GHz,即带隙向高频方向移动。产生这一结果的主要原因是电磁波在金属中传播时,存在一定的截止频率。
Previous reports have shown that there is a complete band gap in the woodpile structure. In this paper, we investigate the band gap in woodpile structures composed of dielectric materials and metallic materials using a finite difference time domain. The results indicate that the band gap for dielectric structures varies from 9 GHz to 13 GHz, while the band gap for metallic structures varies from 19 GHz to 21.5 GHz. The gap moves to higher frequency for the latter because there is a cut-off frequency when an electromagnetic wave propagates through a metal.
