The paper analysis the existing problems of traditional road asset management system (AMS), and introduces why linear reference system should be used in AMS. Based on linear reference system and dynamic segmentation, the paper studies data organization for AMS, and discusses several key technologies, including road asset evaluation method and road asset maintenance decision support.
