As an important antecedent dependent variable that affects the individual cross -cuhural adaptation, the individual cultural intelligence plays a significant role in the cross - cultural management research. But the black box of what factors affect the individual cultural intelligence level still has not been completely opened. On the basis of the existing research both at home and abroad, this article provides an assumption that the external environment factors may affect the individual cultural intelligence. And based on a questionnaire conducted among the residents of three large regions in Guangdong, and through an empirical analysis, the assumption has finally been proved, which demonstrates the effect of the external environment impact on individual cultural intelligence.
