The preparation methods of mono-dispersed spherical nano-silica in recent years are reviewed, inclu ding vapor-phase method, sol-gel process, chemical precipitation, microemulsion method and seed particle growth method. The advantages and disadvantages of the different preparation methods of mono-dispersed spherical nano-silica are reviewed. And issues on reunion and drying in the process are also discussed. Finally, the preparation methods of mono-dispersed spherical nano-silica are prospected.
