With 463 literature on semantic web service indexed by CNKI from 2004 to 2012 as the research object, this article visually unveiled the research progress of semantic web service in China, adopting the methodology of bibliometric and social network analysis in the perspectives of literature distribution of age, journals and funds, author cooperation, institution cooperation, research hotspots and their evo- lution.
