With the advent of digital information age, scientific and technical （S＆T） literature resources are experiencing the change from paper to digitalization. How to organize the increasing digital literature resources is one of the important issues of information science and library science research. Based on the characteristics of S＆T literature, this paper studies the semantic organization of S＆T literature resources from the perspective of events, proposes a method of extracting scientific research events for constructing event base, and discusses the possible application scenarios.
