Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome（MODS）is often caused by a severe infection,and then to the release of inflammatory mediators is the initial factor,leading to multiple organ damage clinical syndrome.In the treatment of MODS,current Western medicine is still supportive care,in lack of effective cut-off means.However,in Shang Han Lun,Shaoyang disease and MODS have many similarities in its etiology,susceptible persons,the pathogenesis,clinical symptoms,treatment principles,and so on.Thus,Shaoyang disease in Shang Han Lun is compared with MODS,and then Shaoyang disease therapies can be introduced into the treatment of MODS,so as to come up with new ideas to the treatment of MODS.
