Silent mating-type information regulation 2 homologue 1( SIRT1) is a kind of histone deacetylase,which is involved in cell function and pathophysiological process by deacetylation of substrates. It is proved that SIRT1 participates in tumorigenesis and exhibits dual functions as a tumor promoter or suppressor,dependent on the tumor type and its complex signaling pathways. SIRT1 is expected toprovide a new approach for treatment of refractory and relapsed hematologic neoplasm.
