In the experimental simulation and reaserch of ice forces on hydraulic structures,model ice is the key to dominate the test results successfully.The basic properties directly decide the experimental set up and application areas.Based on the model ice classfications,the model ice types,capabilities and applications that used in ice physical simulation are introduced.
