In this paper, the common characteristics and mechanism of Shangjuxu （ST37） were discussed. Shangjuxu（ ST37 ） is the Lower He - sea point of the large intestine, pertaining to the stomach meridian of Foot - Yangming, not only for the clinical treatment of intestinal diseases, but also for the disorder of the lower extremities and facial diseases attributable to the stomach meridian. Modem research mainly around the mechanism of intestinal diseases treated by Shangjuxu （ST37）, all levels from the intestine, spinal cord and brain were studied.
