英文摘要：
Based on the research result and material illustration of shelf storm sedimentation at home and aboard in recent years, this paper discusses the characteristics and formation mechanism about shelf storm deposition, and finds the major factors which controls the shelf storm deposition. With the examples of shelf storm depositon, this paper compares the differential characteristic between sandy shelf storm sedimention and calcic shelf storm sedimen- tion. Utilizing the theories of petroleum geology exploration, this paper probes into the petroleum significance about shelf storm sedimention.
