将采用化学镀铜膜技术封装的长周期光纤光栅(LPFG)串人环形腔中,设计了一种新颖的波长可调谐掺Er3+光纤激光器(EDFL)。铜镀膜(化学涂镀)的LPFG在激光器环腔中用作带阻滤波器,利用恒电流源调节LPFG所处温度场,影响LPFG透射谱,改变激光器环形腔增益最高点,实现输出激光波长的可调谐。在LPFG环境温度调谐20~180℃的范围内,EDFL波长可调谐范围可达20.72nm(1560.35~1581.07nm),3dB带宽小于0.02nm,20dB带宽小于0.06nm,边模抑制比大于38dB。长时间观测,激光输出波长功率稳定性优于0.02dBm。结果表明,该EDFL具有易调谐、线宽窄及性能稳定等特点。
A tunable L-band ring Er3+-doped fiber laser (EDFL) with a temperature control Cu-coated long-period fiber grating (LPFG) is reported. The coated LPFG is used as a band-prevented filter. The resonant wavelength of LPFG can be adjusted by changing its environment temperature using the constcurrent source. The coated LPFG, which is inserted into the fiber ring cave,will tune the highest gain point of the fiber laser ring. Furthermore the fiber laser wavelength is also tuned. In the temperature range of 20--180 ℃, the optical fiber laser wavelength-tunable range of 20. 72 nm (1560. 35--1581.07 nm)is achieved. The fiber laser's 3 dB line-width is less than 0.02 nm and the 20 dB line-width is less than 0.06 nm. The side mode suppression ratio (SMSR) is more than 38 dB. Output power stability of laser wavelength is better than 0. 02 dBrn. Experimental results show that the tunable EDFL has the advantages of easy tunablity,narrow line-width and stable performance.
