In order to observe the influence and the existence of MgO in MgB2 superconductor samples, the extra MgO was introduced around the MgB2 embryo. After sintered the sample for 4 hours at 750℃, the nano-MgO tubes, with diameter are 50 ~ 80 nanometers, lengths are 30 ~ 40μm, and wall thickness are about 4 nanometers, were obtained in the MgB2 sample, There is some nano-MgO fibers with diameters are 200 ~300 nanometers existed on the sample surface. They are sub-micron wires. By the SEM EELS survey and TEM EELS analysis, we can confirm that the nano-MgO tubes do not contain B. And the experiment observation also indicated that the nano-MgO tubes constitute of many MgO nanometer crystal pieces. So nano-MgO tubes are polycrystalline.
