[ Purposes/Significance ] Making the SCI journal of ophthalmology as an example, analysis the effectiveness of average JIF percentile and normalized Eigenfactor. [ Methods/Process ] Based on 30 kinds American ophthalmology journals, which are the earlier questionnaire survey's object of our research group, selected 29 journals with SNIP and SJR as the research objects. Using the Spearman rank correlation analysis to analyze the correlation of average JIF percentile, normalized Eigenfactor and score of questionnaire for journals. And the influence factors, Eigenfactor, article influence score, SNIP, S JR were used to compare the effectiveness of average JIF percentile and normalized Eigenfactor. [ Results/Conelusions] New indicators and the current use of journal evaluation index were significantly posi- tively related ( all P = 0. 000 ), with questionnaire scores are also has significant positive correlation ( all P = 0.000 ). The correlation coeffi- cient from high to low to questionnaire scores respectively are normalized Eigenfactor ( 0. 787 ), Eigenfactor ( 0. 787 ), S JR ( 0. 667 ), SNIP (0. 647 ), article influence score (0.636), average JIF percentile (0.615 ), impact factor (0.593). In the same discipline, order of the journals of the normalized Eigenfactor and Eigenfactor is completely consistent, the correlation coefficient between average JIF percen- tile and influence factor is 0. 991, with the article influence score is 0. 943. The average JIF percentile and normalized Eigenfactor both have strong effectiveness to journal academic impact.
