The connotation of the land resource safety of mining area is expounded from the aspects of the quantity, quality and dynamics of land resource. Based on the characterization model of land resource canting capacity, the relationship of the safety state of land resource in mining area with the available land resource quality in mining area, the land productivity level and the land carrying capacity is analyzed, based on which, the method and model for the safety evaluation of the land resource in coal mining area are established.
