In information society and the era of knowledge economy,knowledge has become an important resource to gain and keep competitive advantage for both individuals and organization.Compared with traditional organizational knowledge management software,social software can provide better support for personal knowledge management.As it can make people benefit from their efforts in personal knowledge management,social software is expected to solve the problem of inadequate user participation that exists in traditional organization knowledge management.Firstly,we make a discussion of the concept,features and evolution of knowledge management and knowledge management system.Secondly,we discuss the concept and characteristics of social network service,propose a model of personal knowledge repository based on social network service,and make an analysis of the relationship between social network service and personal knowledge management.Thirdly,we propose the design of a personal knowledge management based on social network service.
