Snails of epiphytic gastropods play a key role in the shallow lake ecosystem. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different phosphorus dynamics on snails of epiphytic gastropods. The enclosures were used to simulate the process of eutrophication. With the same total loading amount, the biomass of snails in the low-frequency patterns increased faster than that in the high-frequency patterns in the first month, but there was no significant difference at the end of the experiment. Nutrient addition has increased snails by a large amount.Correlation analysis showed that the biomass of the epiphyte had a negative correlation with the biomass of snails, however, the correlation was insignificant between the biomass of the macrophyte and the biomass of snails, which indicated snails was an important factor in the complex snail-epiphyte-macrophyte system and there was an interaction between the macrophyte and snails changes in the different lake ecosystems.
