Five （ ± ）2-phenyl-2-alkyloxy-ethanols were synthesized via reactions of alcohol with styrene oxide using sulfuric acid resin D-72 as a catalyst. Thier structures were characterized by ^1H NMR, IR and GC-MS. Tha catalyst can be reused 8 times.
