A multi-function tfiaxial apparatus for soil was developed by use of various advanced techniques. The equipwent consists of several parts with small volume and fight weight; It can math CT machine or electric thermostat-box to in research of the evolution characteristics of soil structure or the effect of temperature on mechanical behaviors of soil; With the help of the apparatus, over 30 kinds of tests for saturated soils and unsaturated soils as well as special soils can be performed, and many important results can be obtained. The new apparatus is a powerful tool for the study of mechanical characteristics of soils.
