星载测雨雷达探测范围广,时空分辨率高,可以获得降水强度、降水类型、融化层高度等数据和资料,能够为三维降水探测、天气预报、决策分析等提供重要的信息。本文扼要地介绍了世界上两部著名的星载测雨雷达,热带降水测量卫星TRMM(TropicalRainfallMeasuringMission)携带的测雨雷达PR(PrecipitationRadar),以及全球降水测量卫星GPM(GlobalPrecipitationMeasurement)携带的双频测雨雷达DPR(Dual-frequencyPrecipitationRadar),为今后星载测雨相关的研究和应用提供参考。
Spaceborne precipitation radar, covering a wide range of space and having high spatial and temporal resolution, can ob-tain such data and information as precipitation intensity, precipi-tation patterns, melting layer height and so on, thus providing im-portant information for the three-dimensional precipitation de-tection, weather forecasting and decision analysis.This paper briefly describes the two world famous spaceborne rain radars, the PR (Precipitation Radar) carried by TRMM (Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission), and the DPR (Dual-frequency Precipitation Radar) carried by GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement), hop-ing to provide a reference for related researches and applications on spaceborne precipitation in the future.
