With the studies of pavement material properties going deeper, researchers have made many achievements on the anisotropy of asphalt mixture. Two forms of anisotropy, evaluation indexes and test methods of transverse isotropy and the effect of anisotropy on the load response of pavement structure are described in detail in this paper. On the basis of summarizing previous achievements of anisotropy, many valuable suggestions are put {orward.
