The All Phase DCT （APDCT） interpolation method can reduce Gibbs＇ effect effectively and has good interpolation features. Based on this and combined edge adaptive interpolation theory, a novel adaptive interpolation method is proposed. According to the different selecting methods of adjacent sample points of interpolation points, deduce the corresponding interpolation formulas. The experimental results show that the proposed method can not only reduce Gibbs＇ effect effectively, but also keep image edge better and improve image quality.
