针对河南某一水硬铝石型氧化铝拜耳法溶出赤泥,采用自制丙烯酰胺-丙烯酸钠-β-衣康酸单甲酯共聚物新型絮凝剂(ASAM)对其进行沉降实验。考察ASAM的特性黏度、添加量对其沉降性能的影响,并选取性能较优良的ASAM-2号样品和商品絮凝剂PAS-3号、0228和Alclar665作对比实验,研究ASAM-2号样品对不同干赤泥浆料的沉降效果。研究结果表明:自制ASAM的絮凝性能优异,沉降速度与絮凝剂0228的相当,明显高于国产PAS-3号和Alclar665的沉降速度,而且上清液澄清度比Alclar665的高;赤泥浆液干赤泥含量为108.4g/L,ASAM添加量为100g/t时,前5min平均沉降速度为1.22m/h,底流液固压缩比为2.86,沉降性能明显优于商品絮凝剂。
A series of experiments on Bayer red mud generated from Chinese diaspore bauxite were performed using experimentally-synthesized new flocculants ASAM (obtained from acryamide, sodium acrylate and β-methylhydrogen itaconate) and commercial flocculants PAS-3, 0228 and Alclar665, respectively. The effects of intrinsic viscosity and addition of ASAM on settling performance were investigated. The influence of red mud with different solid contents on settlement was also discussed. The results show that the flocculating performance of the ASAM is excellent, its settling rate for red mud is almost equal to that of 0228, and apparently superior to that of PAS-3 and Alclar665. The clarification performance of ASAM is better than that of Alclar665. When the ASAM with 100 g/t dosage is added to the red mud slurry whose concentration is 108.4 g/L, the average settling rate of red mud in initial five minutes is 1.22 m/h and the liquid solid compression ratio of the supernatant is 2.86, lower than others.
