In this paper, the GNSS-R ground-based experimental campaign is discussed. The direct and reflected GNSS signals are received with the receiver at L1 frequency on a constant platform; the average height of the sea surface, significant wave height (SWH) and sea level can be retrieved. The experimental principle, instruments and the inversion method of observed data will be given.
