The reciprocal specialized farmers＇ cooperative is initiated by non-institutional elites. The reciprocal relationship in the cooperative is connect ed by kinship, geographical or business relationship; the members are also con nected by economic benefits. In the case of seafood farming association, the re ciprocal farmers＇ specialized cooperative plays an active role in the process of agricultural production. However, restrictive conditions, brought about by both in ternal and external factors, can＇t be ignored. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures in respects of cooperative consciousness, management system and favorablc policies to perfect the sustainable development of specialized farmers＇ cooperatives.
