Seed germination characteristics for different periods after harvest of Ceratoides arborescens were measured.The results show that there was dormancy phenomenon until 35 days of seed matured.The time of germination was 14 hours after seed harvest 35 days and six months.A few of seeds of 3-year old plants have germinated after germinating 2 hours in 35 days of seed matured.The germination characteristics were continuous,centralized,and fast,which was belong to fast germinating species.The short dormancy and continuous,centralized,and fast germination characteristics were important breeding strategies and adaptation mechanisms.
