The effects of premixed CNG in intake port on the combustion and emission performance of biodiesel engine were investigated on a QCH 1105 single cylinder diesel engine .The results show that the maximum combustion pressure decreases , the combustion phase retarded ,the average in-cylinder temperature decreases slightly and the NOx emission reduces significant-ly with the increase of CNG premixed ratio .At high loads ,the specific fuel consumption decreases ,the HC and CO emissions increase and the soot emission reduces greatly .Accordingly ,the premixed CNG in intake port has great potentials to improve fuel economy and emissions .
