在Rb原子冷却俘获磁光阱(MOT)系统中,通过MOT系统的时序控制,我们研究了冷却光关断时间的延迟对原子在基态能级布居数分布的影响.实验中,冷却光的开关由声光调制器(AOM)控制。通过测量探针光经过冷原子云后吸收信号的大小,分析基态能级上原子布居数分布与冷却光关断时间的关系.实验表明,随着冷却光延迟时间的增加,原子在能级F-2上的布居数在减少,能级F-1上的布居数在增加.
The influence of the cooling light cut-off time delay to the atomic population on the ground state is studied in the Rb MOT by the time sequentied control. In the experiment, the cooling light switch is controled by AOM,and the relationship of the atomic pupulation of the ground state and the cut-off time of the cooling light is analized. The resultes show that with the cut-off time of the cooling light becoming longer, the atomic population on the F:2 state is decrease while the atomic population on the F=1 state is increase.
