移动IPv6协议(MIPv6)中的切换延迟一般为2~3s,这对于实时性业务来说是不可接受的.快速移动IPv6协iY.(FMIPv6)通过获取链路层信息来预测切换事件从而大大减少了切换延迟.本文首先分析了MIPv6切换流程及延时,然后引入了快速切换中的二层事件抽象原语,并结合二层事件对切换延迟进行分析,接着给出了Linux平台下FMIPv6软件的设计模型及实现流程,最后对其性能进行了测试和评估.测试结果表明,FMIPv6的切换延迟可以降低一个数量级,文中论述的快速切换机制可应用于各种IP移动性解决方案中.
In Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6), the handover delay is 2--3 seconds normally and can not be tolerated by the real-time services. Fast Mobile IPv6 (FMIPv6) decreases handover delay greatly by obtaining link-layer information to forecast handover events. At first, this paper analyses the handover operation and delay of MIPv6, then introduces an L2 events abstraction primitives in FMIPv6 and analyses handover delay combining with L2 events. The designed model and the implement flow of the FMIPv6 software over Linux are also prompt in the next. At last, after having taken some test, a performance evaluation is given. The results indicate that the handover delay in FMIPv6 can be reduced by one order of magnitude compared with MIPv6. The fast handover mechanism in this paper can be applied to various solutions of IP mobility.
