Let G be a simple undirected graph and Gσ be the graph obtained by assigning an orientation to each edge of G. The skew energy εs(Gσ) of an oriented graph Gσ is defined as the sum of the absolute eigenvalues of the skew adjacency matrix for Gσ. By using a singular value inequality, some properties of skew energy of an oriented graph when edges are deleted are obtained.
