Matrix extracelluar phosphoglycoprotein （MEPE）, which is one of the matrix extracelluar non-collage- nous proteins, is expressed in bone, teeth and renal proximal convoluted tubules. It is considered to be a potential phosphatonin. And it plays an important role in bone formation and mineralization. ARASM fragments and dentonin/AC-100, motifs derived from MEPE, are the focus of recent research.
