This paper explained some important advantages of real-time optical processing OFDM, and introduced the hardware components of real-time optical OFDM processor including Analog-Digital Converter in receivers & transmitter unit and FPGA processing chip selection; Channel equalization mechanisms and MIMO algorithms. Achieved optical OFDM processing chip in real-time optical OFDM transmission system.
