Aim To understand the role of the Journal of National Guiyang Medical College in the development of science and technology. Methods Investigate the original material and analyze the texts. Results Journal of National Guiyang Medical College is the earliest journal of the medical colleges and universities in Guizhou Province, and it is the highest academic forum for advanced medical education and the medical journals in Guizhou Province, with records of research on tropical medicine, gynecology and obstetrics, surgery, etc. and it also shows us the experiences and hard work of medical workers in Guizhou Province. Conclusion The contents and articles in Journal of National Guiyang Medical College are of high quality, which stands for the highest level not only in Guizhou Province, but also in Southwest China, and even in the whole country. Journal of National Guiyang Medical College has contributed a lot to the development of the medical cause in Guizhou Province, and it has laid a solid foundation for the advanced medicine in Guizhou Province.
