Based on the distortion and breakage problem of the whole section of the return air roadway in Jiulong Mine,through the field investigation and monitoring,the study showed that the reason of the distortion and breakage of the whole section of roadway is surrounding rock properties,tunnel buried depth,roadway supporting of roadway surrounding rock with body no coupling,floor not support. Based on the principle of coupling support, a coupling support scheme was proposed, that was prestressed anchor ＋ prestressed anchor cable＋ W steel strip＋ reinforcement net. According to field monitoring, the technology ensured the return airway stability effectively.
