设计了一种偏振调制光学乘法器,以2个空间光调制器分别表示2个二进制乘数,让准直的偏振激光束依次通过2个空间光调制器进行各位求积,使得出射的线偏振光通过不同偏振方向的偏振片,对二进制各位的光强进行不同程度的衰减,对衰减后的光功率进行累加得到乘法结果.以2个3位二进制数乘法运算为例进行实验,验证了系统的可行性.
A optical multiplier with polarized modulation is proposed, in which two spatial light modulators are used to represent two binary digits to be multiplied. When the polarized laser beam passes through the two spatial light modulators in succession, the two binary digits are multiplied in bit. The lights in different bits then pass through various polarizers with different polarization directions to achieve different-level attenuation, and the multiplication result is achieved by assembling the various lights. An experiment is constructed, and the experimental results of multiplying two three-bit binary digits indicate that the optical multiplier is doable.
