Home range and habitat selection of female Lady Amherst＇s pheasant （Chrysolophus amherstiae） were studied by radio telemetry and systematic searching in Liziping Nature Reserve, Shimian, Sichuan,China, from March to September 2006. The results from three individuals of Lady Amherst＇s pheasant with over 4 months relocations indicate that the average size of home range is （31.16 ±26.02） hm^2 and core area is （10. 06±8. 47） hm^2 by 95% Fixed Kernel method. There is an obvious home-range change after the laying time and the distance to each couple Arithmetic Centers farther than 300 m, though the non-breeding pheasant is not distinct. The results of habitat selection show that the pheasant chooses sparser, lower, more-cover trees, fewer fallen wood and denser, more-cover shrub-grass environments.
