作为一个多学科高度交叉的全新研究领域,无线多媒体传感器网络近几年备受关注。要构建高效、灵活的无线多媒体传感器网络,有大量挑战性的工作要做,尤其是低功耗设计问题,需要进行深入的研究。设计了基于OMAP5910的无线多媒体传感器网络图像传感节点;重点针对处理器的双核通信机制进行了研究,采用DMA实现了零时间的数据搬移;通过分析节点处理器功耗特点,从硬件和软件设计两个层面给出了节能策略,为下一步的研究提供了有益的指导。
Being a new research area which integrates several technologies, Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs) have drawn a lot of attention recently. Many challenging tasks, especially the low-power design problem, will need to solve to develop efficient and flexible WMSNs. The camera sensor node based on OMAP for WMSNs is designed firstly. By studying the data exchange mechanism between the dual cores, a no-time data moving scheme based on DMA is proposed. Then the power characteristic of the processor is analyzed. Some hardware and software energy saving strategies are presented, which provide some guidelines for the further research.
