Social entrepreneurship ecosystem is recognized as the product of the frequent interaction between participants. This paper defines social entrepreneurship ecosystem referring to concepts in ecology. The structure and operating mechanism of social entrepreneurship ecosystem are analyzed from an ecology perspective. Social entrepreneurship ecosystem is constituted by entrepreneurial ecological communities and supporting environment. Consisting of the leading social enterprises, government departments, non profit organizations, commercial enterprises and other population, the ecological communities is operating conforming to the dynamic mechanism, balance adjustment mechanism, symbiotic mechanism and resource integration mechanism in the development process.
