从专利直接引用和专利共被引两方面讨论专利引用行为对行业技术竞争的影响。专利直接引用导致技术研发领域中创造性破坏效应的产生,企业在专利引用与被引的过程中改变知识存量与结构,从而影响自身技术实力的发展。专利共被引则通过第三方的专利集成引用行为揭示出潜藏的企业间竞争关系。基于德温特创新索引采集中国市场上RFID领域的技术领先组织的专利引用数据,通过实证研究表明:组织通过专利直接引用获得的知识累计流入量对组织技术竞争力的提升(滞后1年)有正向影响;专利共被引(滞后2年)与企业间研发规模的一致性相关,但其对企业技术竞争态势的指示效度有待提高。
This article studies the impact of patent citation on industry technology competition from two aspects in-cluding patent direct citation and patent co-citation. Patent direct citation is a result of creative destruction in tech- nology in R&D field. Firms update knowledge stock and structure through citing others' patents as well as being cited by others, leading to competitiveness development. Potential competitions among firms are revealed through patent co-citation by the third party. We collect patent citation data of technology-leading organizations in Chinese market of RFID from DERWENT Innovation Index (DII). Two principle findings are shown through the empirical research. First, accumulated knowledge inflow of organizations acquired through the patent direct co-citations has positive impact on enhancing firms technology strength (1 years lagged). Second, patent co-citation (2 years lagged) is in concordance with organizations innovation size proximity, but its indication validity reflecting firms technology competition posture remains to be improved.
