By using 3,3′-thiodipropionic acid (3,3′-tdaH2) as typical ligand and 2,2′-bipyridine(2,2′-bipy) as supporting ligand, a 1D complex {[Mn2(2,2′-bipy)4(3,3′-tda)]·2ClO4}n (1) was synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction single crystal structure analysis, elemental analysis and IR spectra. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility was measured in the range 2~300 K. Research of magnetism shows weak antiferromagnetic interaction between the adjacent manganese(Ⅱ) ions in the complex.
